As comical as her goofy website is, what’s not funny is that she is breaking election laws in her campaign.
Turner has been sending out emails promoting herself as a candidate for SOS. But she’s using her State Senate campaign email to do so. She isn’t allowed to use that campaign to promote herself for any other office, unless she files the right paperwork with the state.
According to the Secretary of State, Nina Turner has not filed any paperwork whatsoever. I guess her website hasn’t convinced her yet! But by using her Senate campaign email to promote herself for a different office, she’s breaking election law.
What’s more serious is that her emails also don’t include a disclaimer at the bottom that states who is paying for the email. She is required to divulge this information along with a contact and address for the campaign. Nina doesn’t do that. Check out the screenshot of her latest email below.
Remember, the Secretary of State oversees Ohio’s electoral system. Is it too much to ask that she demonstrate some knowledge and respect for the most basic of election laws?
